ENVIRONMENT
At WAGNER, we are committed to protecting the environment and climate. That is why we are constantly working to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future. Our top priority is the development and manufacture of resource-saving products.

Every contribution
counts
Energy-efficient architecture with an adjoining biotope and the consistent use of environmentally friendly materials are also part of our ecological concept. And last but not least, we adhere to the ‘5R’ rules. Because we firmly believe that every contribution and every individual can make a difference.

The "5Rs" of sustainability
Sustainability begins with conscious decisions and the assumption of responsibility. The ‘5R’ rules provide simple but effective guidance for improving our use of valuable resources:
Rethink: We scrutinise our habits and consider how we can use more sustainable alternatives. A conscious approach to consumption and resources is the first step towards a more sustainable lifestyle.
Reduce: -Less is more! By minimising our consumption of resources and avoiding waste, we are actively helping to reduce our ecological footprint.
Reuse: We give objects a second life by reusing them creatively or passing them on. This conserves resources and reduces the demand for new productions.
Recycle: We separate waste correctly and utilise all recycling options to return materials to the production cycle. This saves raw materials and energy.
Respect: Respect for the environment, humans and resources is the basis for sustainable action. Only with careful and responsible behaviour can we maintain a world worth living in in the long term.
We care for the environment -
Sustainability is
more than just a trend for us!

Biotope with bee pasture and meadow orchard
On the WAGNER campus, a colourful bee pasture with a large meadow orchard grows on an area of around 10,000 m².
Our biotope offers a rich food supply for honeybees, wild bees, bumblebees, butterflies and other insects, and a species-appropriate refuge made of dead wood, bricks and stone slabs has been created for lizards and other small animals. Right next to it, our large insect hotel serves as accommodation, nursery and winter shelter for numerous insect species, and hedgehogs and bats have also found a new home there.

Sustainable energy sources
On the entire roof area of the 2023 opened WAGNER factory 3, a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system has been installed, making an important contribution to our sustainable corporate strategy.
With an impressive output capacity, the system covers a large part of our energy requirements from the sun's energy and reduces our carbon footprint at the same time. This is how we combine innovation with ecological responsibility – for a greener future.

Climate-friendly architecture
The WAGNER factory 3 sets new standards in energy efficiency and sustainability and fulfils the high ‘KfW 55 EE energy standard’.
Energy consumption is drastically reduced with resource-saving technical equipment, including a heat pump, concrete core activation and a ventilation system with heat recovery. Large skylights provide natural lighting and are supported by energy-saving LED technology. This climate-friendly concept reduces CO₂ emissions to a minimum and sustainably improves the company's greenhouse gas balance.

Consistent recycling management
Waste is a valuable resource that should be returned to the recycling cycle as far as possible. This is why we practise consistent recycling management with clearly defined separation systems in order to sustainably protect the environment and resources.
Materials such as paper, plastic, metal and wood are separated, collected and recycled, green waste is composted, and organic waste is utilised in an environmentally friendly way. The effect: Residual waste is reduced to an absolute minimum.

Lean Management at WAGNER
Efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction take centre stage at WAGNER which is why we rely on lean management. With lean processes, continuous improvement and a clear focus on objectives, we optimise our working methods and create real added value for our customers.
Our aim is to reduce waste, increase added value and sustainably increase productivity in order to remain competitive in the long term.

Sustainability goals at WAGNER: Responsibility for tomorrow
Sustainability is a central component of our corporate strategy. We have defined clear goals in order to make our contribution to a better future:
Reduction of CO₂ emissions: By using state-of-the-art technologies and energy-efficient processes, we are continuously reducing our CO₂ footprint and actively contributing to climate protection.
Climate-neutral production: We are working consistently to make our production processes climate-neutral and rely on renewable energies and sustainable materials.
Occupational safety: The safety and health of our employees is our top priority. That is why we invest in modern protective measures and create a safe working environment for everyone.
These goals emphasise our commitment to sustainability, responsibility and a future worth living.

Sustainability is a responsibility for us at WAGNER towards future generations. We invest in environmentally friendly technologies to promote a liveable future.
